Bug fixes in version 2.16.3

The team has taken some time to fix a bunch of bugs and issues reported to us. Here is what’s new in the 2.16.3 release:

Changelog

  • New visuals for unit effects (poisoned, frozen etc)
  • New visual effect for splash damage
  • Minor color adjustments on New Dawn skin
  • Reduced number of moves an explorer makes: 15 → 12

  • Crash when restoring purchases on iOS
  • Freezing a flooded tile no longer drains the tile (https://discord.com/ch…)
  • Changing climate on a tile no longer floods it if it was frozen
  • Skate + attack on ice don’t grant extra movement
    • (if a Battlesled attacks and kills a unit from land->ice, it should be able to use its escape ability)
  • Changing language in-game does not update building info pop-up
  • Destroying bridges seems to leave a road showing on the ocean tile
  • Centipede with multiple tails

  • Make sure you can resign on enemy turn in weekly challenges (https://discord.com/ch…)
  • Showing player income as stars/hearts should now display correctly in replays and pass&play (https://discord.com/ch…)
  • Show embassy income icon as heart in embassy income ui if playing with New Dawn skin
  • Make sure resource shows correct icon in pass and play and replays when one player has the New Dawn skin
  • Adjust audio to be more responsive when clicking a tile

  • Always focus on player capital when opening a game, even if auto focus is off
  • Units could get stuck at incorrect y-position during a “sway” animation (on click) if moving the unit very quickly afterwards (https://discord.com/ch…)
  • Correct battle preview results for ice archer (https://discord.com/ch…)
  • Changed how ruin rewards are calculated
    • increase consistency in weekly challenge ruins
    • don’t reward water unit if you don’t have water movement (i.e. moth explore water ruin)
  • Change end screen for domination showing 3won/3lost as 57% instead of 50% (https://discord.com/ch…)
  • Moths now have the Scout ability (https://discord.com/ch…)
  • Controller support fix, buttons used to “get stuck”
  • Pending friends are showing up in weekly challenge friends league
  • Modifying an existing share-url so it points to an ongoing game and pressing resign results in a crash
  • Games now save to disc on startup (before it needed at least one player command to save)
  • Weekly challenge play button grayed out (improved by saving to disk earlier, see the previous bullet)
  • Can’t use Escape button to deselect during last turn in perfection/weekly challenge (https://discord.com/ch… )
  • Weekly challenge games was giving stars and tribe highscores in perfection mode
  • Random turn order for players when starting game with friend (https://discord.com/ch… )
